PLM - Custom field in AENR

Hello,

I have added a custom field to the AENR (Change Master) table.  When a Change Master is auto created from the PLM system, when a Engineering records gets to a certain status I would like to auto populate this custom field.  Is there a BADI or User-exit where I can do this?

I looked at BADI ECM_UPDATE but it does not allow you to make changes.
